Meet The Team - Clevedon
Laura Sullivan – Head Veterinary Surgeon and Clinical Director (BVetMed MRCVS)
Hi, my name is Laura. I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2009. I am a very enthusiastic and committed vet, and I am interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine. I enjoy the varied caseload each day brings, and working up each case to find the root of the problem. I am also developing a special interest in surgery. In my spare time, I enjoy zumba, baking, scuba diving and spending time with friends, family and my gorgeous Cocker Spaniel, Charlie and Ragdoll cat, Nala. I very much look forward to getting to know you and your pets.

I started working as a Student Veterinary Nurse in 1998, qualified in 2002 and then worked as Head Nurse until becoming Practice Manager in 2016. At home I have a cat called Mr Bond, a husband and 2 boisterous children to keep me busy
Lucy Gray – Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Hi, my name is Lucy. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from Abbeydale Vetlink in Monmouth in 2014. I am interested in all aspects of veterinary nursing and particularly enjoy nurse clinics and in-patient care. I also run our puppy socialisations classes here at Wellpets. In my spare time I am kept super busy looking after all of the animals on the farm, including our lovely dogs – (Bow, Spot, Tom, Pip, Floss, Ted and Midge).
Joanna Thorn – Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Hello, my name is Joanna. I am a veterinary nurse working at our Clevedon practice. I qualified in 1996 and over the years I have enjoyed working in various areas such as an out of hours emergency clinic, exotics, equine and farm, canine hydrotherapy and small animal practice. I have owned a variety of pets from dogs and horses to a chinchilla and tropical fish. Currently sharing my home is a cheeky minature parrot (parrotlet) called Olive. I love caring for my pets and thoroughly enjoy being a veterinary nurse and extending that love and care to our client’s pets that are part of their family too. In my spare time I enjoy many activities such as running, cycling, swimming and climbing.
Hayley Evans - Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Hi I am Hayley. I am a trainee veterinary nurse, and I love all aspects of helping animals and can’t wait to know you and your furry family member!! Another passion of mine is travelling of which last year I had a great opportunity to put my animal and travel passion together to volunteer on a game reserve in South Africa. I have a yellow Labrador called Mae who lives back at home in Cheltenham which is where I am from. She definitely is your typical Labrador, loves food, loves fuss and still acts like a puppy even though she is 5 years old.
Our Clevedon surgery is situated in a quiet but central location on the Lower Queens Road. The building itself is listed and with ample parking for all of our customers. With morning and afternoon surgery times and our sister surgeries “Weston-Super-Mare” and “Worle” not too far away, we strive to provide a brilliant service to all pets in need of treatment.
Caroline Gaynor – Receptionist
