Meet The Team - Minster
Minster is one of our busiest surgeries and attracts a large clientele with its excellent location and ample car parking space. There is also a saturday and sunday morning clinic here which then moves to our Sittingbourne practice for Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The surgery is equipped with state-of-the art equipment, boasts a superb team and excellent facilities and is also the main base for all administration within the branches.
Stan Grozdanov (MRCVS) – Vet
I graduated from “Trakia University” (Bulgaria) in 2004. After 3 years of working in small animal surgery in Bulgaria I decided to relocate to the UK. Outside of the surgery I enjoy sport and traveling abroad. I have an adult Female cat named “Marutz” whom I rescued as a stray 3 years ago.
Lucy Beckwith (RVN) – Vet Nurse
I have recently joined Wellpets . I have been nursing for 13 years and in 2009 qualified as a veterinary nurse. I love all aspects of being a veterinary nurse, mostly being with the clients and running clinics. I like animal dentistry and running dental clinics to keep your pets teeth and gums healthy. I have 2 rescue cats that came into my previous surgery called Harry and Maisie who I love very much. Outside work I enjoy being with my family – I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who takes up most of time, along with my husband. I also enjoy being with friends, going out for meals and going to the cinema too.
Chelby Kenten – Manager
Hi there, I’m Chelby. I’ve been nursing since 2001 and I cannot imagine doing any other job. I really enjoy the different challenges every day brings whether its nursing our surgical patients, assisting the vet, advising clients about their pets health and welfare in our nurse clinics, helping pet owners at the more difficult times or helping the more cuddly pets lose weight. I never really know what’s coming through the door next!! I have a very keen interest in herbal medicine and holistic treatments – mainly Reiki and Crystal therapy. I hope to develop further in these areas. My ‘Furry’ family at home consists of my dogs Bailey (Cavalier King Charles)and Ziggy (ShihTzu) and our cat Little Fu (3 legged Persian with attitude!!!). I’m also very lucky to have my horses Tegan (Friesian) and Rosie (Shetland) along with a few chickens which are kept at the stables. As you can see animals are a big part of my life :o)
Nicola Hazelwood (RVN) – Vet Nurse/Receptionist
Hi I’m Nicola I started my career as a veterinary nurse in 1996. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002. I love being a veterinary nurse but after having my son I returned back to work part time and have since changed my role within the practice and work on reception. I enjoy chatting to owners and giving out advice and helping them look after their pets. I have many rescue pets at home which I love spending time with when I am not working.
Lorraine Oakman - Receptionist
Hi, my name is Lorraine, one of the receptionists at Wellpets. My colleagues (friends and neighbours) know me as the crazy cat lady. I currently have 6 feline “fur babies”, 3 pedigree Maine Coons, Princess Poppy, Magnificent Milo and Mischievous Mako, along with 3 rescues via Cat Protection, Lucy Lou-Lou, Toby Tiger and Lady Freya. I love to learn about cat behaviour and have spent time fostering and rehabilitating cats for re-homing. I plan to learn more about behaviour to aid myself in improving the environment/care of my own cats as well as to help other cat owners. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged friends.
