Wellpets Animal Hospital in Worle provides professional, dedicated veterinary care to achieve the highest standards of practice. Our experienced and caring team of vets, nurses and support staff offer a complete veterinary service from routine examinations, vaccinations, to surgery with the latest state of the art equipment. With our ‘sister’ surgeries at Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon not too far away, we strive to provide a brilliant service to all pets in need of treatment.
Jelena Pearce - Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
Jelena qualified as a vet from Liverpool University in 2007. She returned to the South West to work in Cornwall and Bristol before settling in at Wellpets. Jelena enjoys the mix of consulting and surgery in each day, and the opportunity for continuity of care that she can offer her patients. She especially enjoys working in such a small and friendly team. Jelena has two dogs and a cat that mean the world to her, and she enjoys dog walking in her spare time, especially in the Brecon Beacons.
Emily Bowey – Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Emily is a fully qualified nurse and had worked in the veterinary industry for six years before joining the Wellpets team. She runs the nurse clinics at Worle, and this is a part of her job she finds particu-larly rewarding because she enjoys meeting clients and helping their pets to stay in the best of health. Outside of work, Emily likes to spend time with her adorable spaniel, Dedee.
Lucy Hudson – Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Lucy is a qualified as a nurse with a degree in veterinary nursing from Middlesex University in 2004. She worked for charity organisations in her hometown of Birmingham before moving to Bridg-water in 2008 to further her career in a Veterinary hospital. She loves all aspects of nursing but has a passion for rabbit care and welfare. She has her own menagerie at home including 5 cats, 3 dwarf lop rabbits, 2 leopard geckos and her boyfriend has numerous royal pythons and boas. In her spare time she is a volunteer dog walker for The Cinnamon Trust, enjoys yoga and spending time with her pets.
Tracy Disney - Receptionist
Tracy has been a key member of the Wellpets team for over 10 years, and she loves the variety each day can bring. She enjoys helping clients and their pets, and sharing their joy when they are re-united after time spent as an in-patient or after a worrying time of illness. Tracy grew up in Weston-super-Mare and, from early childhood, developed a passion for all animals – especially horses. Outside of work she can often be found enjoying the outdoors riding her horse, Molly.

Suzanna Border - Receptionist
Suzanna has always loved being around animals and after working in the veterinary world for 8 years she qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant. She can't think of any other job she would want to do. She loves meeting our clients and their pets and enjoys helping them in anyway she can whilst they visit us here at the surgery. Outside of work Suzanna loves spending time with her family and friends, She has a 2 year old son who keeps her very busy along with her husband. Suzanna has 3 cats, 2 rabbits, a guinea pig and a hamster who they all love taking care of.
Stephanie Page - Receptionist
Stephanie has been in the veterinary industry for the last four years mainly as a Receptionist but also worked in insurance. She loves to meet and greet our clients and enjoys a cuddle or two with their pets. Outside of work she loves to take her adorable pooch Maggie for long walks in the fresh air.
